August 27, 1946 - February 7, 2021
Charles Joseph Boswell “Joe”, 74 of Nottingham, PA passed away peacefully on Sunday, February, 7, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital.
Joe was born in Kennett Square, PA, the son of the late Ada (Prang) and Joseph Boswell. He graduated from Kennett High School and served in the U.S. Army during Viet Nam War. He retired after 24 years with the Herr’s Company as a sanitation supervisor and then returned to Herr’s for the last 5 years as a potato processor. His hobbies included wood working and working on his cars.
In addition to his parents, Joe was predeceased by his sister, Linda Fogleman; and his brother, Terry Boswell. He will be dearly missed by his wife of nearly 48 years, Mary E. (Jones) Boswell; his daughter and son-in-law, Heather Lynn and D.J. Carey of Aberdeen, MD; his granddaughter, Sophia; and his sister, Sharon of West Grove, PA.
A visitation will be held on Saturday morning from 10 AM to 11 AM at the MEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 2509, Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808. A service with COVID-19 protocols will begin at 11 AM. Masks and distancing will be required. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Faithful Friends, 12 Germay Dr, Wilmington, DE 19804.
